Hazardous Materials Remediation
OUR APPROACH
THE FIRST STEP
is to identify our client’s needs
regarding the material or waste. We will pull
samples utilizing a skilled technician, field
chemist, or an industrial hygienist to supervise
the chemical analysis of the suspect material to
confirm its hazardous content. Using this
analytical report, we develop date for a
specific profile. This will assist us in
devising the method in which the materials will
be handled and/or disposed.
The planning and work in this phase may include
review of product information, MSDS, and
documentation necessary to complete a hazardous
materials profile, determine waste codes and
secure a waste acceptance plan. All options will
be reviewed before we select a solution that is
economically feasible for your firm without
compromising the environment, your liability
exposure, or the safety and well being of
employees. Your options may include Removal,
Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Management,
Decontamination, Transportation, Disposal or
Recycling of your hazardous materials.
THE
SECOND STEP
is the development and implementation of
a plan or method designed specifically for your
problem. Based on the results of the First Step,
we will develop a scope of work and a site
safety plan including the level of protection of
our personnel. In this step, we will set up and
stage our containment, cleanup, and packaging.
All packaging and transportation methods will be
DOT approved with containers and labeled as to
content and properly manifested. Monitoring and
additional technical engineering may be provided
by an independent consultant if needed.
THE THIRD STEP will cover
manifesting, transportation; recycling,
incineration and/or disposal of all waste to the
proper licensed waste disposal facility or
landfill. Due diligence will be exercised in the
review of permitted disposal facilities that
provide the best methods and assurances of
proper final disposal. Destruction certificates
will be provided where applicable.
THE FINAL STEP is to assemble your
project documentation in the form of a “Close
Out Package”. This document will include
pertinent information such as notifications to
regulatory agencies, permits, laboratory
reports, insurance certificates, sign in logs,
contractor credentials, safety meetings logs,
daily reports, consultant’s reports, manifests,
and waste profile documents. This package
documents efforts taken to ensure proper waste
handling and to reduce potential liability and
exposure of employees, tenants, and occupants.
